Adding Products to Your Store on Facebook

To get people shopping, you have to add products. Here is a step-by-step guide to help you through the process for adding products manually. If you have a large number of products to add, you may want to consider using the CSV Bulk Product Import Tool.

Step 1

After setting up your store you will need to click "2. Add Products."  A wizard will appear and you will be taken through the steps to create your product: “General, Options, Shipping & Tax, Details, and Images.” If you would like to use the CSV Bulk Import Tool see the documentation here: http://support.payvment.com/entries/20505271-csv-documentation-details#overview.

Step 2

You will be taken to the “General” tab: Fill in the appropriate fields and hit save and continue. If your product requires options, such as the option of different sizes, colors, and versions you will need to check the box for “Options.” 

Step 3

If you checked the box for “Options” you will need to create an option set. If not, skip to Step 4.

To create an option set click “create new option set.” Fill in the necessary fields and click “save option set”  If your product has multiple option sets select “add another option.” Click “select” for all necessary option sets you would like for that particular product and click “next.”

Step 4
Shipping & Tax: Select the Shipping method you would like to assign to this product and  if you would like to include sales tax check the box for enable sales tax. If you choose carrier rate shipping you will need to enter in the shipping weight and fall back shipping charge.  If you wish to incur additional handling charges, enter those in the appropriate boxes. Please note: you can add an additional charge for when a customer buys additional quantities of your product.

Step 5

Next you will be taken to the details tab where you will enter the price of your product and the quantity available. If you have unlimited quantity please check the box.

Step 6

Upload images for the product. You can add up to 5 images per product listing. Images need to be 450x450 pixel jpeg images, smaller than 1MB. Click “Finish” your new product will be listed in the products tab.
