Creating Coupon Codes

Research from emarketer in 2009 shows that 87% of consumers prefer to shop at stores that offer coupons, and 89% are more likely to use coupons during a recession. This creates the perfect storm for you to utilize coupons to build and grow a loyal customer base. Our coupon system will let you create product-specific coupons and store-wide discounts that you can creatively use to drive sales.

Step 1

In the admin dashboard click the "deals" tab. Then select "Create New Deal."

Step 2

Select which type of coupon code deal you would like to create. You can create a product discount or free shipping discount. 

Step 3

A “create deal” pop-up will appear. Here you will need to choose whether you want the deal to be applied storewide or only to selected products.

Step 4

Now set the coupon code. You can set up your own code such as "SAVENOW" or "HOLIDAYPROMO" or we can auto-generate a code for you.

Step 5

Next you will want to choose the type of discount. You can create a percentage discount or a dollar amount discount. In this example let’s set up a $5.00 off discount. Now you can select when you want the deal to run. You can choose any start and end date by using the calendar selector. If you don’t ever want the deal to end simply click “no end date.”

Step 6

You have the option to limit the quantity of discounts you offer. If you would like to limit the quantity check the box and enter how many discounts you would like to offer otherwise select "Unlimited." Then click "Continue>"

Step 7

Select which products you would like to be included in the deal and click "Create Deal."

Step 8

You will see a pop-up asking if you want to share the deal with your fans and followers. It is always beneficial to let your followers know when you have a new deal offering. If you want to share your deal click “yes” you will see the promote deal window. Edit any necessary information and click “send.” 

Step 6

The coupon code will be promoted to your fans and followers and you will now see your deal in the active deals tab. Congratulations, you just created a coupon code deal!
